What I wore 27th March - 2nd April 2009

This week I've actually included some photographs in the hopes that you'll have some idea what I'm talking about. this has made me realise (a) I look really odd in most of my clothes, (b) I look better in more fitted clothes, (c) my photographic technique has improved over the week (Dear Heart took Thursday's photo) and (d) it would have been a really idea to start this last Friday rather then Sunday.

Here we go:
Friday - no picture
Men's jeans, black ‘crowning your beautiful life’ t-shirt, grey shrug, Black velvet jacket, multicoloured scarf, brown boots, black and green necklace, sequined beret.

Saturday - No picture
Exercise clothes
Old jeans, grey ribbed jumper.
Black hooded dress, black leggings.

Sunday - lots of pictures as I tried to find a good angle
Allotment clothes
Black Lame leggings, grey pillowcase top, grey shrug, Black buckle boots, silver shark/tiger tooth necklace.
Monday
Black leggings, grey wrap dress, turquoise vest, brown boots.

Tuesday
Exercise clothes

Wednesday
Black tights, grey dress, big brown belt, brown boots, green and black necklace.
This is the dress that used to be a pair of trousers.

The more you blog the more you can

I started my blog with the idea of blogging on a regular basis. However I found that when I was doing lots of interesting things I was so caught up in it that I couldn’t motivate myself to also write about them. When life was a bit less thrilling I didn’t think that I had anything to write about.

Then in June I decided that I would try blogging on a daily basis where possible. I worried that I’d have nothing to write about but I the more I wrote the more ideas seemed to present themselves. Then things have trailed off again over the summer and I find that once again I need to get back into the discipline of regular posts.

I need to look at mobile blogging this autumn. I often take photos on my phone with the intention of loading them to my blog. Let’s have a season of more spontaneous and visual blogging.

The trials of technology

I've got a number of photographs that I want to share and have planned an entry including them as they also illustrate what I've been up to lately. Alas every time I've sat down with my computer to sort it out something crops up. It's either a Norton update and scan, or a a software upgrade or not being able to find pictures that I'd edited on Picasa or blogger refusing to let me log in. Then the machine runs very slowly and I always seem to think that 9 p.m. is a good time to start doing these things.

I shall have to make a rule (similar to one I have for new sewing projects i.e. not after 7 p.m.). If all goes well tonight might indeed be the night that I get my pictures online. Watch this space!

My gift bags

I said ages ago that I would post some pictures of the gift bags I made. So this weekend I got the camera out to take some pictures for EBay and did a couple of the gift bags while I was at it. these are bags that I made for Christmas 2005. The reason that they are currently in my possession is that they were reused this Christmas to give a gift to me. Isn't recycling a wonderful thing! I made this one for Dear Heart's sister and it had a DIY book, muffin tin and a muffin recipe in it. It was bulging with Benefit make-up and other goodies when it came back. The ribbon definitely needs an iron before I reuse it this year.

I made this one for my Grandfather and to my shame I can't remember what I put in it! It doesn't show up very well in the picture but the net around the candle flame is orange.

I hope to have a profile photograph soon so watch this space!
